reading plus

TLC has recently partnered with Ms. Carol Selby and her staff at Heavenrich School (Saginaw Public Schools) to define a reading recovery study based on leading-edge vision therapy technology. Evidence from other research suggests that the reading performance of disadvantaged students can be improved with Visagraphâ„¢ technology. Preliminary findings indicate that significant gains can be attained utilizing this computer-driven vision therapy method. Approximately 30 3rd through 5th grade students are participating in a yearlong study. Results will be available in late summer 2007. The study is funded by grants from the Dow Corning, Harvey R. Wickes, Wickson-Link and the Saginaw Community Foundations as well as from the Alice E. Turner trusts.
