Pamela Ecarius, Ed.D., Research Fellow
Dr. Pamela (Penny) Ecarius is a Research Fellow at The Legacy Center for Student Success (TLC). Her research interests include discovering methods and strategies that help all children to be more successful in their academic lives, especially those related to their home and outside-of-classroom experiences.
Penny earned her doctorate from Central Michigan University in Educational Leadership. Her other degrees and certifications are in elementary and special education. She has over 30 years of experience as both a classroom teacher and most recently, as the principal of the Gladwin, MI Elementary School.
Dr. Ecarius gives generously of her personal time. She is active in many youth-oriented civic, professional, community and church organizations. Penny is the well-traveled mother of two daughters who reside in Kentucky. In addition to her volunteer activities, she enjoys reading, traveling and walking. Penny also enjoys learning, especially if it involves interaction with people who enjoy what they are doing.
